Thank you for posting this. From the images is looks to be what I am looking for; A solution to the ASUS 1215B trackpad problem. Would it be possible to translate this into English?

Dzi ęki stary za film. W niedalekim czasie postaram się wypróbować ten sposób. Czytałem jeszcze coś o kolejnej poprawie tego go bubla, a mianowicie o oklejeniu czegoś taśmą izolacyjną. Może wypróbowałeś ten sposób i podzielisz sie filmikiem lub zdjęciami. Pozdrawiam.

0:04 - Repairing touchpad in Asus 1215N/B
0:09 - Remove the RAM protection.
0:16 - Remove the screws.
0:22 - Remove that carefully.
0:28 - Watch for white tape.
0:33 - Remove that white thing (dunno what is it named in eng, sry)
0:40 - (in short), In the 90% case, that would help with trackpad problem in 1215N/B. Be warn, if you do it, you loss the warranty.
Sorry for poor english, but I want to help.

Thank you. I'm not trying to be rude about the English, I just could not understand it. I know that English is not the only language in the world and I really appreciate the video and I appreciate the fact that you took the time to translate this. Cheers!

But I must say I also broke 1 small pin opening the laptop with the credit card. Maybe it is better to let a professional open it, and remove those parts. Now I had to glue it to close it again completely.

I'm having this exact problem with my 1215n and I finally decided to open mine up to remove that piece of foam. Upon opening the touchpad panel, I found out that neither of those two pads are present on my computer. Any other ideas on what could be going wrong with my touchpad?

WARNING: be very careful removing the top piece with the track pad. I couldn't get a credit card in there very well, so I started on the side. I think it may have broke a clip though.
Here's the important part, don't run the card along the front, those clips don't pop out upwards. Once you have the clips on the sides and near the keyboard loose, pull the panel towards the keyboard as the front clips clip in laterally. I broke most of th em popping the front straight up.
Fixed it though, Thanks.

I also had difficulties getting the piece below the keyboard off using a credit card, and started around the sides. I managed to break one of the clips on the left so it wouldn't attach fully, and ended up gorilla gluing it down. So far, however, I haven't had any issues with the trackpad and the small atheistic blemish is worth having a functioning trackpad (and fix your shit Asus)

Thanks for posting. I removed the pad and got better response. I also peeled back the foil on the screw peg as another video mentions and that solved the problem completely. I was about to scream bloody murder at Asus for selling a piece of junk. A short in the ground? sheesh...

Awesome thanks a lot man. This has been an ongoing issue for awhile and it is good to finally get it resolved. Have been using it for a day and no issues. Be careful when pulling off the touch pad though. I found prying a fingernail on the right hand side and softly punching it out made it easier. The 1215N has two of the gluepads. I removed both and no issues thus far. Cheers

Thank you for these fix instructions. My touchpad now works perfectly. It's erratic performance before this had been driving me crazy and detracting from an otherwise great netbook.

Dzieki, pomog ło, szkoda tylko że chyba ułamałem zaczepy z lewej strony pokrywy z touchpadem, bo lekko odstaje. Będę musiał podkleić na super glue :)
